Fetch Eyewear donates 100% of profits to the Pixie Project in support of animal rescue and adoption
Hailing from a family of animal lovers and active philanthropists, Amy Sacks was inspired to create an animal rescue organization with a positive approach. In 2007, she opened the doors to the Pixie Project in her hometown of Portland, Oregon. The Pixie Project is a 501c (3) non-profit that believes no rescue group can do it alone. Pixie partners with county shelters from across the United States to give animals a second chance at a forever home and works with the community to ensure pets are receiving the care they deserve.
Whether they are providing free spay and neuter services to pets of homeless individuals or relocating cats and dogs from overcrowded rural shelters, Pixie always shines a bright, proactive light on animal advocacy. The Pixie staff takes special care in pairing potential adopters with their perfect pet and they continue to be a resource for advice, answers and support after the match is made. To date, Pixie Project has completed over 1,500 successful adoptions.
Thanks to the support of the community and many generous donors, in 2012 Pixie expanded its facility from 1,500 to 5,000 square feet. This allowed the addition of 20 kennels, an expanded cattery and an in house veterinary clinic. These changes will allow Pixie to aid more animals and make more happy homes. The goal of Fetch Eyewear is to be a sustainable source of funding for the Pixie Project and help them continue to grow.
