Your Rescue Story: Miss Mabry

Real rescue stories from our customers.

"Miss Mabry is an American Staffordshire Terrier who just turned one April 8th. She came from Guardian Pitbull Rescue in The Woodlands, TX. She had come from an overcrowded shelter where she was likely dumped with her litter.

My husband Matt actually fell in love with her first the first time we met her. But one look at that pittie smile and we knew she needed to come home with us. We met her in a park during a photoshoot for some of Guardian’s adoptable dogs. Her hair was thin and her skin was bright pink from her Demodex, but not once was she anything except happy and excited to play with us.

Mabry is constantly breaking stereotypes. She loves to play with our two other dogs, both Dachshunds, and wants nothing more to meet and play with anyone and everyone she comes across. She truly is my baby. Our hopes for her is that she will be able to become an AKC Canine Good Citizen and become a therapy dog! We love our rescue babies!"
